We are meeting in Paris
September 20th, 2007 by Kanti KumarThis year’s annual meeting of UNEG started off today in Paris. A range of issues were discussed on the first day. The future of print magazines in the UN was in focus in the first session in the morning. The post-lunch session on reaching new audiences included discussions on the use of new web tools such as blogs, podcasts, YouTube and Swivel. And the third session dealt with the use of plain language in the jargon-infested world of the UN. Tomorrow the discussions will be on topics like editorial convergence for magazines, books and the web, and copyright in publishing. UNESCO is hosting the meeting this year.
